History
It was launched on 1 May 1994. At that time, it screened both Hollywood and Chinese movies and catered to a pan-Asian audience split into two stations: STAR Movies (was formerly known as STAR Movies International, now is currently known as Fox Movies Premium) – is an English movie channel and STAR Chinese Movies (formerly known as STAR Mandarin Movies).

On May 19, 2012, STAR Chinese Movies Hong Kong was officially re-branded. The channel logo was also changed from a star, to a crown. The crown features three points, which represent the channel's aims of offering the best premium programmes, the best screening service and the largest Chinese movie inventory.[1]
STAR Legend Movies
Boasting the world’s largest contemporary Chinese film library, STAR Chinese Movies 2 showcases some of the best movies from the Golden Age of Hong Kong productions from the 1970s to 1990s. With 24 hours of commercial-free and non-stop programming, the channel offers a line-up of box office blockbusters featuring top rated movie stars and directors. Early films by Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Chow Yun Fat, Jet Li, and Stephen Chow are frequently aired. All the movies are broadcast in Mandarin with Chinese and English subtitles. STAR Chinese Movies 2 currently only now available in StarHub TV in Singapore Channel 867 and on Channel 226 via HyppTV in Malaysia.[2][3][4][5] STAR Chinese Movies 2 was officially re-branded from September 2012, which was renamed as STAR Legend Movies (SCM Legend).
