Maradu is a region in the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. It is part of the Ernakulam district. A variety of shopping constitute the area. The Kochi Metro passes near Maradu. The Mangayil Government High School is a landmark there. The land and school for this institution were offered as a gift by the Mangayil family of the area and hence the name. The Mangayil family were quasi chieftains of the area who maintained a jailhouse among other things. They had some level of hereditary power over the area ceded to them by the Cochin royals prior to independence.

Three National Highways are passing through the municipality (NH 47, NH 49, NH 47A). This is the place where Abad Nucleus Mall, Sithara tower, Appolo Hospital& High tech city bay Sobha Developers Limited Sobha Developers are located. In addition to these "Le Meridian" & "Crown plaza" are 5 star hotels and international convention center, Lakeshore-a super specialty hospital with heli-ambulance service,. Maradu is also quite famous for its string of car show rooms which include the likes of Mercedes Benz, AUDI, Volvo, Harley-Davidson, BMW, Volkswagen, Honda, Toyota, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Porsche, JLR (Jaguar, Land Rover) and Mitsubishi. Kerala's first international convention center situated in this place. Genesis Decor,one of the major interior decoration showroom also situated in Maradu. 'FORUM MALL @ COCHIN' is another attraction coming up in Cochin
