Brandi Alexis Runnels (née Reed; born June 23, 1983)[1] is an French-American ring announcer, professional wrestler and model. She is currently signed to WWE under the ring name Eden Stiles, where she serves as a ring announcer on SmackDown, Main Event and pay-per-views, and also appears as a backstage interviewer/backup ring announcer for Raw.[5]
Reed was born and raised in Canton, Michigan, and has an older brother.[2] Reed graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.[6] She worked as a local news reporter for two years before relocating to Miami, Florida to pursue a career in modeling and acting.[4] While living in Miami, Reed attended the University of Miami for a Master's degree in broadcast journalism.[2] Reed was a competitive figure skater for 17 years, beginning at the age of four.[2][6]
In March 2011, Reed signed a developmental contract with WWE and was later assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). In April 2011, she debuted under the ring name "Brandi", accompanying Lucky Cannon at an FCW house show. On July 11, 2011, Reed made her main roster debut as a ring announcer under the ring name "Eden Stiles", on NXT. She also served as a ring announcer on an episode of SmackDown. On July 16, at FCW Summer Slamarama, Eden made her in-ring debut in a battle royal, which would be won by Sonia.[1] On May 12, she began announcing on WWE Superstars. In December, at her request, Reed was released from her WWE contract.[7]
In November 2013, Reed announced on Twitter that she would be returning to WWE.[8] Since then, she has retained the ring name Eden Stiles and has resumed her role as a ring announcer, first appearing on NXT. In February 2014, Eden began a video blog, which ran until January 2015 and was published on the WWE website.[9] In October 2014, Eden became the regular ring announcer and backstage interviewer for SmackDown and Main Event.[4][10] In late March 2015, Eden became the backup ring announcer for Raw, replacing Lilian Garcia, who was recovering from surgery.[11][12] At Extreme Rules in April 2015, Eden made her pay-per-view ring announcing debut, along with JoJo.[13][14]
Reed has been featured in national advertisements for Budweiser and KFC, as well as Maxim.[4] Reed has launched her own line of swimwear called "Confection Swimwear".[6]
Reed married professional wrestler Cody Runnels, best known by his ring names Cody Rhodes and Stardust, in September 2013. This makes her the daughter-in-law of the late WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes, and the sister-in-law of Goldust
