Dubai Duty Free (DDF)

Dubai Duty Free (DDF) is a corporation that controls the duty-free operations at Dubai International Airport. DDF was the single largest airport retailer in the world in terms of sales as of 2012, DDF was the largest single duty-free retailer in the world.[1] In 2010, its estimated sales were €900 million.[1] In 2011, the operation generated revenues of US$1.46 billion. Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, uncle of the ruler of Dubai, is the chairman and Colm McLoughlin is the Executive Vice Chairman. DDF is a subsidiary of the Investment Corporation of Dubai, owned by the government of Dubai.

The company began operations at Dubai International Airport in December 1983.[2]
